I know it can be daunting to get plugged into a new church, especially if you've recently been hurt by one. But whether you're new to the faith or have been a lifelong church-goer, finding a healthy church is essential to maturing spiritually and growing in your walk with God. Until several months ago, I didn't even know what truly defined a "healthy" church by biblical standards, so in this episode I want to give you six markers of a flourishing body so that you can at least have a baseline of what to look for in your quest.
Above all I encourage you to study this topic for yourself, don't just take my word for it! Some helpful resources and places to start are the book "Nine Marks of a Healthy Church" by Mark Dever, Ephesians 4, Acts 2, 1 Corinthians 12, 1 Timothy 3, and 1 Peter 5. I pray the Lord gives you wisdom and insight as you study, and I'd love to hear the markers you find as well!
As always, thanks for listening. :)

But when these things happen, leaving us confused and heartbroken, what do we do?
In this episode of Homebody, we'll be talking about three things to keep in mind when you're working through church hurt, and how to find the courage to get back into the Body again.
Thanks for listening :)

All of us, believers or not, have some type of relationship with God. A lot of how we operate in our daily lives is related to how we view God, how we speak of Him, and what we believe He wants from us.
In this episode of Homebody, we'll be discussing five categories of relationships to God, as well as markers to identify whether or not you fit into each category. Hopefully by revealing the wrong ways we view our lives with God, we'll be able to joyfully exhale and rest into the relationship He wanted all along.
Thanks for listening :)

Hellllo everybody!
In the tenth episode of Homebody, recorded on Easter weekend, we'll be discussing Matthew 27:45-54 and some of the events leading up to the death of Jesus. My main goal is to inspire you to pay attention to intricate details in the Bible that others would usually gloss over, to encourage you to ask God all of your burning questions, and to reflect on the person you were before you met Jesus.
Thanks for listening :)
